She commenced her career as a valuer in the Valuation & Property Services Department (JPPH) under the Ministry of Finance where she undertook a wide range of valuation assignments from stamp duty, Securities Commission cases, land acquisitions, housing loans etc. She was also involved in training the valuation staff, project managing JPPH’s training institute INSPEN from inception to completion and authoring JPPH’s annual property market reports.
In 1990, she left JPPH and joined Jones Lang Wootton as the research & consultancy manager and was primarily involved in market & feasibility studies, and also started its quarterly property market reports. She joined Henry Butcher Malaysia in 1991.
She has conducted extensive market & feasibility studies for various purposes such as structure & local plans, resorts, townships, hotels, shopping centres, offices, service apartments, condominiums, landed residential, shops and gated & guarded communities.
Her team has also been involved in key projects like the East Coast Economic Region, Kuala Lumpur Structure Plan 2020, Putrajaya Waterfront development, Hulu Selangor Local Plan and Iskandar Malaysia Blueprint Study. Her diverse clients include Putrajaya Holdings Bhd, Iskandar Development Region, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), Sime Darby Bhd and many more.
She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying (Property Management) Honours from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
